After being inspired by antique ceiling tiles from my childhood, I created a series of intricately patterned jewelry component texture mats. Each mat has 7 individual jewelry components, which makes creating bracelets, pendants, earrings and rings a breeze.
Select the preferred component, then roll the clay to its desired thickness. There is ample space to place rolling slats around each component, (including the components on the outside edges of the mat) which ensures even rolling throughout the piece for a nice, consistent layout design.
Finish by cutting around the border of the component leaving the built in links attached to the component so that jump rings are seamlessly added after firing. Mix and match the components to create many different styles of jewelry.
